The pursuit of excellence has been realised in our 120th Anniversary year, with the introduction of the new 2023 Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations™ (CVO™) collection, powered by our most powerful engine to date. 

The new collection features a brand new, limited edition CVO Street Glide® and CVO Road Glide®, designed and built to exacting standards and showcasing the latest in technology, from inbuilt LED lighting systems to the outstanding torque delivery of the all-new Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 (1,977 cc) V-Twin engine. CVO models achieve the pinnacle of refinement and performance in every component. 

They excel at covering miles in supreme comfort and complete safety, with performance on tap, when required.

CVO™ STREET GLIDE™

The new CVO™ Street Glide® model showcases advanced technology, enhanced rider comfort and dynamic performance propelled by the powerful new Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 engine. Exclusive and dramatic new visual designs present a transformative revision of the Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring platform.

While an all-new batwing fairing exclusive to the CVO™ Street Glide® model retains the iconic “T” shape, the silhouette has been updated to present a faster overall look with the splitstream vent now fully integrated into the design. Undercuts beneath the headlamp are more pronounced. Signature LED lighting is used as a distinctive design element and provides instant recognition of the new model, even at night. Amber LED turn signals are seamlessly integrated into the left and right lamp elements, eliminating separate turn signals for a cleaner over-all look.

CVO™ ROAD GLIDE™

The new CVO™ Road Glide® model showcases advanced technology, enhanced rider comfort and dynamic performance propelled by the powerful new Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 engine. Exclusive and dramatic new visual designs present a transformative revision of the Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring platform.

The all-new CVO™ Road Glide® model fairing presents an aggressive update to the classic Road Glide® model “sharknose” design, with more surface tension and the definition of a well-trained athlete. In examples of design flow, the aft edge of the new fairing relates to the fuel tank shape, and the edge of the lower portion of the fairing to the front engine cylinder. A single LED headlamp has a wide, horizonal shape and appears to have twin elements, recalling a key feature of all previous Road Glide® fairings. The “W” shape of signature forward lighting provides instant recognition of this new model. Amber turn signal lamps are integrated within the outer portions of the signature lighting, eliminating the previous bullet turn signals.

Signature LED Lighting

New signature lighting on both models includes one element surrounding the headlamp plus elements extending along the left and right sides of the fairing. The result is signature lighting with a distinct appearance that identifies these motorcycles as the new CVO™ models. A shutdown sequence keeps the signature lighting illuminated for 10 seconds after the vehicle is turned off, a dramatic effect curbside.

Front turn signals are integrated within the fairing behind the same lens used for the signature lighting. The signals are eye-catching and create a smooth, integrated look for the front of the motorcycle. Combination rear brake/tail/signal lighting is located between the rear fender and the saddlebags.

Infotainment Powered by SKYLINE™ OS

An all-new 12.3 inch TFT screen offers a bright display that's clear and easy-to-see manner. with anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings.

Powered by Skyline™ OS. It's the most tech-forward display ever offered for a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle, replacing all analog instrumentation and most switches as found on previous CVO™ motorcycle models. 

This premium display is highly customisable and compatible with Apple and Android devices, offering three distinct view options and technologies that were previously not available on a Harley-Davidson® system or required a separate modules/software.

Pinnacle Performance

Meet the Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 powertrain, the most powerful engine from the factory, exclusively available to owners of the 2023 CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models. 

This 121-cubic-inch 45-degree V-Twin engine establishes a new benchmark – with approximately 8 percent more torque and 9.5 percent more horsepower than the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine.

With a number of new features including optimised liquid-cooled cylinder heads and a new cooling system, variable valve timing (VVT), and a new intake tract, they allow riders to take command of every road with dynamic and thrilling performance.

Improved Dry Weight & Braking

To improve rideability, weight has been reduced significantly, with 14kg shed off the CVO™ Street Glide® model and 16kg for the CVO™ Road Glide® model.

The result is an improvement in every aspect of performance – braking, handling and acceleration – and in rider comfort, such as lifting-off the side stand, balancing at a stop or when moving the bike around. 

Premium Brembo™ components offer outstanding braking feel and performance for added rider confidence. Dual front disc brakes feature new radially mounted four-piston Brembo calipers designed to offer the rider more braking power.

High-performance Suspension

Equipped with new suspension components designed to promote confident handling and provide a dramatic improvement in rider comfort, the 2023 CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models share 47mm SHOWA® inverted forks at the front and SHOWA® dual outboard emulsion technology shock absorbers at the rear, which feature a new remote hydraulic pre-load adjustment knob located forward of the left saddlebag.

Adjustments can easily be made to rear suspension preload to accommodate up to an additional 100 pounds of cargo loading or short-term passenger adjustments using a dial on the bottom of each shock absorber.
