THIS IS ONE 'BAD HOMBRE'
There’s a whole world of motorcycling out there, rallies and events open your mind to what other people are riding and what’s possible. At West Coast we’ve always believed in producing rideable customs and in this latest offering from West Coast Glasgow Customs, we’ve been true to that theme. ‘Bad Hombre’ is a true riders custom in which we’ve created a stunning bike yet one you can ride and have fun – not just a show-piece.
BAD TO THE BONE
The inspiration for Bad Hombre comes directly from Fiona Rutherford, our Sales Director, whose immersion in the biking world from a very young age and H-D experience has inspired her to create this year’s Battle of The Kings entry. Using a 2014 Softail Deluxe as a base, this bike now features unique ‘GS Customs’ Gold Fortune paint with rich and intricate layers of gold candy, butterscotch and gold leaf. ‘Big Spoke’ wheels, ‘Lenker’ 18” Apehangers and unique branded leather seat all add to this truly exceptional machine. These statement pieces are accompanied by lashings of chrome to the engine, swing arm, front end and so much more. It contains many subtle hand-crafted items – take a look at the side rails as an example which may look standard, yet are far from it; blended into the ‘Klockwerks’ fender and designed to match the sweeping lines and accentuate the elegance and presence of the Deluxe. To help in our quest Fiona worked closely with Fraser Hine, our Custom Specialist, on every detail to achieve our #29. One of our favourite parts has to be the custom engraved derby and timer covers. Aside from the paint, these are the only items not completed in house by then technician, Darren Heggie, who is now our Customs Expert.
