One month ago, Harley-Davidson announced that the Economic Ministry of Belgium, following a request from the European Union, had revoked the company’s Binding Origin Information (BOI) credentials.
As a result, from June 2021 all Harley-Davidson motorcycles, regardless of origin, were expected to be subject to a 56% import tariff within the European Union.
Since that time, there has been a temporary suspension of escalating import tariffs in the E.U. on Harley-Davidson products.
Our friends at the Harley-Davidson Händlerverband DE (Dealer Association) have petitioned against the current measures, and continue to collect as many signatures as possible to fight together for fair competition and tell the European Union that the this situation is not acceptable.
